Wyoming
Cutthroat Trout

Travel by horseback into Two Ocean Pass Country deep within the Teton Wilderness of the Bridger-Teton National Forest or into the back country of Yellowstone National Park.

Enjoy famous Yellowstone cutthroat trout fishing second to none in June, July and August - or try your hand at trout fishing in high mountain lakes along the Continental Divide in late July and early August.

You will see the T.O.P. experienced guides pack mules and horses to carry your belongings into the wilderness. Learn and enjoy about high country camp life - outdoor cooking at its best - relax near the warmth of a crackling campfire listening and partcipating in cowboy songs and entertainment.

Fishing for the native Yellowstone cutthroat trout is always an exciting experience. The annual Yellowstone cutthroat spawn in June and early July, is probably the most productive period as they bite on nearly any kind of bait. It is kind of like the elk bugle and the deer rutting seasons - they are intent on reproduction and nothing else.

The cutthroat fishing success diminishes somewhat as the summer wears on, thus is the importance of the T.O.P. guides to get you to the right locations for success including the high mountain lakes and the Snake River cutthroat trout hideaways. Whether you spin fish or fly fish, they have the expertise and patience to make your trip one of the most memorable.

There's a place in the Wyoming mountains where time slows down, the air smells clean, the water runs pure and the people are down home friendly. This outfitter operates one of the most prestigious and successful dude ranches in Wyoming, it is truly at the "end of the road," nestled in the foothills of the Bridger National Forest. Thick aspen groves and pine covered hillsides set the stage for one of the finest family vacations in the Wind River Mountains.

Modern guest rooms with a private bath, offer visitors the best in accommodations, while a central lodge room provides opportunity for visiting and relaxation before a huge fireplace. Excellent family style meals are served three times daily and the casual western style hospitality is sure to make you feel at home.

The lodge offers a variety of activities from a relaxing float trip down the nearby Green River to a rigorous hike up Boulder Creek Canyon. One of the highlights is a pack trip deep into the unspoiled wilderness near the Continental Divide. More than 100 lakes with an average elevation of 10,000 feet and surrounding peaks rising over 13,000 feet make the Wind River Range one of the last truly primitive frontiers in the nation.

Day fishing trips are also a specialty of this outfitter where you can arrive at the lodge early in the morning for a big, hot breakfast. Then saddle up and ride to one of the many nearby lakes or streams to fish for native cutthroat, rainbow, brook, grayling or golden trout. Lunch is fixed over an open fire, followed by afternoon fishing and /or horseback riding. Then back to the lodge for a ranch style dinner, all you can eat.

Dedication to the guests, as well as an exceptional string of saddle horses, comfortable accommodations, and spectacular scenery guarantee a memorable vacation experience for the entire family.
